The Construction Equipment Operator position is responsible for the following:

• Operating heavy equipment to lift, move, or place equipment or materials
• Performing basic duties associated with operating heavy equipment

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Operating various construction machines: Bulldozers, Skidsteers, Excavators, Backhoes, etc. in a safe and appropriate manner
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and perform regular maintenance and minor repairs when necessary
• Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment
• Perform general construction duties for all job sites

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED
• Relevant experience preferred with operating heavy equipment
• Familiarity with residential and commercial construction practices
• Valid class A CDL license to haul essential equipment
• Employment is conditional on verification of clean driving record, background check(s), and pre-employment/random drug testing

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position and regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.in addition to weekends on an as-needed basis with the ability to work outside of or in addition to those hours as needed.

Travel:

• Must be willing to travel and occasionally stay overnight at different job sites.
