KS Engineers, P.C. (KSE), a mid-size engineering and construction management firm with offices in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut is currently looking to add an additional Construction Quality Manager for our Rocky Hill, CT Office.

  • Has full technical and administrative responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating projects/assignments.
  • Manages a major complex project and/or several routines/fewer complex projects.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical and administrative guidance to Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and suppliers of raw materials or finished medical devices
  • Assures product conformance to established requirements and standards through appropriate inspection and test activities.
  • Coordinates quality planning, inspection method development and defect prevention/corrective action processes for new and existing products.
  • Determine and define quality assurance requirements from review of engineering drawings and/or specifications, industry standards, government specifications or other applicable source documents. Formulate, write, and maintain procedures, specifications, and standards for the quality control of Zimmer products including non-destructive testing methods, gauge design and procurement, sampling and inspection methods and visual acceptance standards.
  • Develop and administer effective data collection and reporting system to meet regulatory requirements and management information needs
  • Control further processing, delivery, or use of nonconforming products until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
  • Negotiates terms of compensation for extra work or services requested by Owner. Does not commence with work or services outside of current agreement scope and budget without written agreement between the Owner and KSE.
  • Proficient in software required to complete assigned projects.
  • Responsive to Client and other KSE Manager/ needs.


Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the preparation of quality proposals.
  • Identifies out of scope work.
  • Monitors invoice ability of self and assigned staff to verify compliance with established goals.
  • Familiar with all company policies and procedures and verifies implementation and compliance.

Educational Requirements:

  • NETTCP QA Technologists or approved equal

Experience:

  • 7+ years
  • CTDOT Policies and procedures

Professional Licenses/Registrations:

  • OHSA 10, 30 6r 40-hour Safety Certification.

Professional Development:

  • Actively participates in professional societies and local civic organizations. Encourages staff to do same.
  • Encourages / pursues professional development and training and licensing

Grade:

  • NICET Highway Construction Inspector Level 4.
