The Manager of Consumer Insights plays a critical role in leveraging data to define motivators and barriers through strategic research and experience platform management. Focused on answering pivotal why and how questions, this role fuels a competitive advantage rooted in consumer experience insights to drive growth. Serving as the voice of our guest, the Manager of Consumer Insights will design and analyze strategic research roadmap, partnering with cross-functional leaders to socialize trends and actionable recommendations, with primary focus on driving menu innovation, marketing optimization, and operational training and development.
Consumer Insights at Noodles is comprised of 2 core functions including Strategic Research and Guest Experience. The ideal candidate has a passion for defining and driving a hypothesis led research strategy to support key business objectives partnering with external and internal stakeholders to design, execute and analyze guest research. This role is responsible for crafting audience adapted storytelling, maximizing guest understanding across the organization. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background with quantitative analytics and qualitative synthesis.
This role will partner closely with cross-functional leaders including Culinary, Marketing, and Operations, reporting into the VP of Guest Engagement Marketing and partnering closely with guest analytics to deliver key insights.

Your Day in the Life
- Translate business objectives into research hypotheses
- Work collaboratively with culinary, operations, marketing and analytics to design, influence, execute, strategic research projects
- Execute a blend of internal & external research, partnering with internal teams and vendors to manage research from start to finish both qualitative and quantitative.
- Organize and lead consumer focus groups, including customer taste panels.
- Ownership of the Medallia Guest Experience Platform, partnering with external agency support to develop and maintain dashboarding capabilities & reliable self-service tools to socialize guest satisfaction trends
- Lead competitive analysis and benchmarking across the company.
- Develop consistent and thorough reporting structure to keep executive leadership and other stakeholders aware of research findings and trends.
- Produce presentations, charts, and executive summaries that clearly communicate findings to marketing leads, cross-functional partners, and executives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a cohesive and actionable customer segmentation strategy rooted in unified view of guest data
What You Bring to the Team
- Research experience in field of Restaurant, Culinary, CPG, or Retail highly preferred
- Ability to understand business objectives and requirements, organizing research and guest satisfaction data to deliver clear & actionable insights
- 5+ years of experience in consumer research design & analyses for quantitative and qualitative studies
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing of other related fields
- Ability to act as a change agent and lead strategic thinking across organization
- Strong project management skills
- Strong executive presence and communication/presentation skills
