CI Engineer Job Summary - The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for identifying and improving the outcome of production and manufacturing as well as operational processes to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction.

Continuous Improvement Engineer Essential Functions

  • Follow all Safety Practices and Guidelines
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workplace

  • Identify and facilitate process improvement projects, group facilitator, and workshops to drive cultural change using coaching skills.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing, business, assembly issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity, facility design, and create process documentation.
  • Carry out advanced data collection and analysis for process mapping, developing budgets, and cost analysis to determine project feasibility.
  • Drive value stream mapping to define “As-Is Analysis” and the transition to Future State
  • Design experiments and conduct analytical, experimental work to provide data-based conclusions about a process or product performance.
  • Generate FMEA documents, validation test protocols, validation reports, and other required documents, and perform statistical analysis to support validation activities.
  • Own, maintain, and report to CI Manager the financial impact of prospective, in-progress, and completed projects.
  • Operate High Tech Glass Fabrication Equipment
  • Inspect product for quality to meet or exceed Cardinal and customer expectations
  • Willingness to seek out additional roles and responsibilities within your department
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail
  • Flexibility - may be required to work overtime to meet customer deadlines

Continuous Improvement Engineer Prior Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University - Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, CI Engineer preferred
  • Training in Lean/ Six Sigma principles (Preferably Black Belt Certification)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft programs, Access and ERP applications
  • Knowledge with CAD, Visio, Minitab, ability to read schematics
  • Strategic Thinking, Facilitation Skills, Analytical Skills
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to learn and apply new concepts and overcome obstacles with change.
  • Ability to work with and influence others in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, across all levels of the organization.
  • Manufacturing or warehousing experience, preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
