The Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible for leading the cultural transformation to a Continuous Improvement atmosphere at one of our largest Manufacturing facilities. You will develop and maintain an integrated Lean Continuous Improvement System for the company. You will also develop and execute a Lean CI enterprise roadmap for the facility. This role does not have any direct reports.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities


Create and support detailed roll-out action plans for individual locations by:

  • Performing hands-on training at all levels of the organization, as required.
  • Ensure site Lean CI Organization is in place, with roles defined and ongoing and Lean CI activities are in compliance with expectations.
  • Monitor company metrics related to Lean CI; ensure action plans are developed and executed. Implement and deploy a Lean CI strategy across the company.
  • Train site Lean CI champions on sustainable Lean practices and processes.
  • Facilitate site Kaizen events and perform hands-on training for all facility employees. Support the organization as needed with heavy “quick-hit” focus on specific sites that have greatest need for quality improvement/sustainability.


Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ideally Industrial / Production engineering.
  • 5+ years of lean manufacturing experience within a commercial service organization. Six Sigma belt(s) preferred.
  • Highly developed and technical knowledge of manufacturing practices and procedures. Knowledge of the principles and techniques of Lean, including but not limited to, value stream mapping, Kaizen events, A3 process, one-piece flow, Kanban systems, and 5S.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in process optimization, lean operations, or business management.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
