JOB DESCRIPTION

The Contract Analyst is responsible for analyzing and reviewing source documentation, and using the documentation to create and update policy and contract information for external contractual documents. Responsibilities include collaborating with internal customers, managing the contract process and ensuring agreed deadlines are met.

Candidate should be preferably located in California, but should be located on the PST time zone.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates or updates contractual documents for new groups, renewals and benefit changes, ensuring external customers have documentation on their benefits, billing and enrollment information.
• Provides guidance to internal customers on contractual issues, procedures, and practices.
• Researches and resolves issues related to use contracts using systems and workflows; and provides feedback/recommendations to management for mitigation of future issues.
• Alerts management of any potential or identified issues within source documentation that may interfere with contract creation or delivery of product to the client.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate policy/contract production according to submitted specifications.
• Extracts, audits, tracks, and uploads multiple reports daily, weekly and/or monthly.
• Tracks, monitors, and evaluates the contract/documentation process and project plan to ensure that all internal participants are completing their part of the process to ultimately ensure activities are met in the established timeframe.
• Performs special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years experience w/Bachelor's degree
• Strong organizational/time management skills and multi-tasking abilities
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to develop, implement and maintain analytical tools and models
• Strong knowledge of contract/policy processing concepts, policies, guidelines and systems
• Ability to prioritize and manage duties in order to meet goals and deadlines
• Aptitude to learn and develop proficiencies with new concepts, legal requirements, processes and technology
• Effectively able to adapt to change and be comfortable handling risk and uncertainty
• Customer-focused with ability to empathize with customer
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when exposed to sensitive information
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook etc.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $46,359 - $93,100
