GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

• Training new employee's
• Schedule, set up, and maintain the operations of converting machines ensuring the efficient production of high-quality flexible packaging that meets company and customer specifications.
• Communicate with inspectors, correcting and troubleshooting problems, maintaining high efficiencies while properly utilizing raw materials.
• Safely stop and start machines, performing roll changes and preventative maintenance.
• Properly read and interpret a template to perform efficient set ups and quality inspections.
• Use the Inventory system to scan rolls into converting. Make ready inventories both mechanical and materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with Cell Leaders to plan/schedule production runs to maximize production efficiencies.
• Proofread job packet for accuracy.
• Perform initial machine setups.
• Trouble shoot, maintain, and stabilize machines during down time and production runs.
• Call maintenance as needed.
• Take finished goods and scrap to staging area; perform roll changes; change hydrogen/oxygen tanks.
• Complete all necessary documentation and reports. Performs other job-related duties as assigned subject to reasonable accommodations.
