Overview:
We are offering a $3,000 Sign On Bonus (to be paid throughout the first year of employment).
The Cook, LIFE Programs is responsible for the preparation and monitoring of all meals served at the LIFE Center to comply with all therapeutic diet and regulatory requirements. Qualifications:
In accordance with the Rule issued by the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Service, all employees are required to either (1) establish they have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19; or (2) obtain an approved exemption/accommodation through Lutheran SeniorLife for a qualifying medical condition that contraindicates the vaccination, or on the basis of a sincerely held religious belief, practice or observance.Shift: Daylight Typical Work Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Certification from completed dietary course preferred.
- At least one year experience in health care food service preferred.
- Must possess knowledge of portion control, kitchen equipment, and have working knowledge of therapeutic diets.
- Must have one year experience with the frail and elderly population.
- Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel required.
