Job Purpose and Objectives
Assist in preparation of lunch and dinner meals for resident youth. Job Competencies
Communicate and work as a team in a professional, respectful, positive and constructive manner. Maintain regular attendance and good punctuality. Assist in preparation of meals. Train and Instruct youth in kitchen duties. Teach youth responsibilities when working in kitchen. Stress safety to youth while working in kitchen. Monitor youth's behavior while working in kitchen and maintain appropriate behavior. Clean kitchen, oven, grill and fryer. Prepare list of supplies needed. Monitor kitchen after each cleaning. Assist Food Service Manager with menu planning. Protects and maintains any confidential information you have access to, whether oral, written, or electronic. Operates all job-related equipment, machinery, tools and other aids as required or needed. Position Requirements and Qualifications
Position Requirements - Requires minimum of high school diploma or G.E.D. Must be 21 years of age. Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all certification requirements relative to the position.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities - Knowledge of proper use of kitchen equipment and utensils. Experience in proper kitchen terminology. Some cooking experience. Cooking skills are required. Ability to communicate with youth and co-workers essential.
