The Coordinator of Recruitment & Dual Enrollment is a member of the Strategy, Outreach and Student Engagement Division and is responsible for co-leading, in collaboration with the Director, the team of High School Advisors. The Coordinator is the knowledgeable of processes and platforms used by the Recruitment and Dual Enrollment team to serve high school students. They carry a caseload of students. The Coordinator builds relationships with external stakeholders to recruit and assist students to identify opportunities that align with their career and degree choice. The Coordinator is well-versed in working with and serving many diverse audiences, including but not limited to prospective students, parents, families, current students, school partners, career influencers, and community members. In collaboration with faculty and staff, the Coordinator works diligently in a team-oriented, student-centric environment to provide exceptional student support and service to expedite success in student’s educational journey. The Coordinator is an advocate for student success by forging relationships with faculty, students, staff members of the College, and the community. The Coordinator is an innovative leader skilled at developing ideas and programs, bringing them to fruition and effectively coaching, mentoring, and leading others to support their continuation. The Coordinator will co-develop and deliver on strategies to meet student recruitment goals while embracing the mission, vision, and values of Forsyth Technical Community College. The Coordinator of Recruitment & Dual Enrollment reports to the Director of Recruitment and Dual Enrollment.

Minimum Qualifications

In collaboration with faculty and staff and the Director of Recruitment & Dual Enrollment, the Coordinator works diligently in a team-oriented, student-centric environment to provide exceptional student support and services. The Coordinator will support key strategies to and meet student enrollment goals while embracing the mission, vision and values of Forsyth Technical Community College. The Coordinator of Recruitment and Enrollment reports to the Director of Recruitment and Dual Enrollment.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university. Note: Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a US Dept. of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC.
- At least two years of experience in student recruitment, enrollment, advising and/or other related experience.
- Excellent proficiency in both written and oral communication including the ability to convey information clearly for varied audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and projects and handle deadlines and changing priorities, attention to details and follow through.
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
- A student-centered customer service attitude is essential.
- Strong personal and professional integrity and commitment to promoting and cultivating a student-centered culture is critical.
- A positive attitude with genuine interest in working with students with different cultural and social backgrounds and historically underrepresented populations.

- Understanding of and commitment to the unique nature and role of community colleges in general and Forsyth Tech in particular.
- Three years of experience in progressively responsible leadership and supervisory roles in higher education.
- Experience working high school students, early college students, and/or dually enrolled students.
- Experience working with community college student populations.
- Master’s degree.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish-English.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Physical Demands
- In coordination with the Director of Recruitment and Dual Enrollment, support the leadership and day-to-day management of the Recruitment and Dual Enrollment team; assist the Director of Recruitment and Dual Enrollment in evaluation the performance of staff.
- Support the off-campus recruiting and dual enrollment advising team, providing career and academic advising and follow-up services to new students, including case management to assist students through a guided pathway experience that aligns with their life and career goals.
- Provide on-campus support in the summer season to support career and academic advising and enrollment support.
- Provide direct service to students through management of own caseload of high school students.
- In coordination with the Director of Recruitment and Dual Enrollment and Coordinator of Recruitment, support a recruiting plan and strategy for the college, including sophisticated recruiting and enrollment plans that vary by program to ensure enrollment targets.
- Build relationships with high schools across Forsyth and Stokes counties to collaborate on dual enrollment programs, including early colleges, middle college, and Career and College Promise, with the goal of increasing enrollment and improving matriculation and collaboration with local high schools.
- Collaborate with other areas of the College in planning and requesting course offerings.
- Work closely with the Director of Recruitment and Dual Enrollment to support recruitment, enrollment management and communications plans to support student enrollment and success.
- Work collaboratively across the college to support key programs such as the college’s student ambassador program, new student orientation and other first-year experience activities. Provide support and leadership for both on-campus and online options.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance college-wide partnerships between and among student services staff, faculty, instructional staff, and administration.
- Assist in the development of student academic success plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including serving on committees relevant to all aspects of enrollment.
