Copy & Content Marketing Coordinator


We are currently looking for a detailed and dynamic Copy & Content Marketing Coordinator to be responsible for a wide range of content development, writing, and editing related to our corporate blog and social media channels, corporate and local websites, local and national advertising, and any other external marketing collateral. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to sustain and develop the company’s voice across all external channels, leading online community engagement, review generation, and responses on corporate channels. To be successful, you must have a knack and love for writing along with a comprehensive understanding of content marketing. In addition, you’ll plan, research, develop, and write sales and marketing copy in line with organizational objectives.


What you'll do:


  • In collaboration with marketing leaders, you'll develop, implement, and measure a comprehensive social media strategy, integrating general brand and careers content.
  • Develop monthly content strategy and topics for blogs, social media, and websites.
  • Maintain all social media outlets including (but not limited to) YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok.
  • Develop and implement corporate social media contests monthly and as needed.
  • Write, publish, post, and measure content blog platforms while maintaining the style and voice for the different audiences; analyze data to improve blog strategies and tactics; grow blog subscribers and expand the overall blog's reach.
  • Work with SEO partner, Scorpion, to develop and implement an ongoing website strategy to optimize content for SEO and lead generation.
  • Edit local web content for franchise web pages as needed.
  • Monitor all social media outlets to protect the brand and interact with followers on a regular basis; work closely with the Ops team to resolve customer issues through Sprout Social.
  • Engage with online audience across all corporate social media accounts to manage brand reputation efforts.
  • Manage all notifications and reply to comments and messages.
  • Develop a process for franchises to handle local customer service issues.
  • Improve response time to online customer inquiries, directing them to the right place.
  • Develop material to support local franchise local social content, sharing best practices and recommendations.
  • Establish methods for our franchisees to increase & capture positive reviews across the web.
  • Improve the efficiency of video shoots by conducting interviews, gathering additional content, taking photos, and writing video scripts, as needed.
  • Stay current on social media and content marketing trends keeping the organization at the forefront of new channels, stories, and technology.
  • Oversee and monitor all social media presence for the brand, focusing on reputation management and engaging with our online audience through relevant content.
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone).
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar and plan in alignment with business goals and the seasonality of the industry.
  • Write copy for promotional literature, marketing collateral, media advertising, websites, and internal and external publications designed to boost brand awareness and increase sales.
  • Coordinate layout with the art department and estimate production costs or work with outside vendors.
  • Conduct expert interviews with both internal and external contributors to obtain information and verify statements and copy accuracy.
  • Assist with an annual and quarterly content calendar, B2C email marketing, and weekly newsletter.
  • Proofread and edit all content before publication.


What you bring:


  • A passion and strong understanding of the industry and our business mission
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business' various types of content
  • Understanding of writing for search engine optimization
  • An analytical mind and interest in using data to optimize/scale blog marketing strategies and tactics
  • Flexible writing style for a variety of audiences
  • Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts
  • Strong knowledge/understanding of social media outlets
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word
  • Excellent knowledge and application of the AP Style Guide
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • PowerPoint Skills and general presentation


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, advertising, or public relations required
  • 1-3 years of marketing and content creation experience preferred


Working Conditions:

Travel may be required, about 10%.
