Corporate Purchasing Manager
Job Summary
PLEASE NOTE: This position is located in Las Vegas, Nevada 89119.
Makes recommendations on policies and procedures as needed to ensure the success and compliance of procurement related activities. Coordinates routinely with other departments to assure effective and timely coordination and teamwork in procuring goods and services. Position is based in Las Vegas.
Specific Duties/Responsibilities
· Anticipate shifts in supplier negotiating position and respond accordingly
· Develop supplier evaluation, selection, qualification process
· Build effective relationships with key suppliers
· Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms
· Right size supply base and develop strategic partnerships
· Develop supplier scorecards and review regularly
· Aggressively support material cost reduction initiative
· Reduce inbound freight cost
· Eliminate supplier related outages in plants
· Develop working capital reduction strategies…VMI, Kanban, etc.
· Conduct ongoing make vs. buy analysis to ensure competitiveness
· Work closely with/across all functions to drive success
· Create effective monitoring tools to ensure compliance of procurement and contract administration processes.
· Conduct reviews for all procurements prior to award of contracts for compliance requirements.
· Establishes bid standards and prepares procurement documents to publicly solicit bids and contracts for the purchase and/or lease of materials and services
· Maintains positive vendor relations
· Assures suppliers deliver materials and services in accordance with standards of price, time, quantity, and quality agreed upon
· Assures all invoices are audited for compliance with contract terms and supervises contract closeout
· Responsible for ensuring records are maintained and procurements are documented from origination through completion

People/Performance Management
· Manage and streamline multiple, concurrent administrative assignments, while balancing competing priorities
· Analyze and evaluate complex administrative problems, recommend, and implement alternative solutions to complex issues
· Establish and communicate clear goals and objectives
· Analyze and evaluate bid proposals, purchase requisitions, specifications, and other purchasing- related documents.
· Efficiently conduct vendor and product research
· Effectively negotiate contracts and agreements on behalf of CSP
· Track results, review regularly and provide feedback
· Culture of systematic problem solving and continuous improvement
Qualifications and Experience Required
· A bachelor’s degree from an acceptable, accredited college or university with major course work in acquisitions, purchasing, accounting, finance, business or public administration or a closely related field
· 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in developing and administering contracts and procuring goods and supplies.
· Demonstrated analytical, sourcing and negotiation skills and success
· Global sourcing experience
· Track record of cost reduction, planning, monitoring, driving results
· Strong communication skills, oral, written, presentation
· Systematic problem solving
· Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills
· Bilingual English/Spanish required
· Requires frequent international travel
