Summary/Objective:

The job of a Greeter is to scan an admission ticket from each fan that enters Whataburger Field. This position is a seasonal position that includes nights and weekends during the Spring and Summer.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Greet all guests upon entry/exit with a warm welcome/thank you for coming, see you soon/next game
• Allowing only ticketed fans into the game. This means scanning each ticket and confirming that it is for the proper game date
• Being certain no one gains admittance that is not authorized
• Checking fans, and their bags and purses for prohibited items: outside food or beverage, weapons, lawn chairs, coolers, or pets
• Keeping the lines of fans moving efficiently into the park
• Resolving ticket issues as they arise
• Assist with promotional item distribution
• Never leaving your gate unattended
• Provide great customer service for the fan experience

Education and/or Experience & Skills:

• Experience working with large crowds
• Ability to work long hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

Work Environment:

This job operates in a stadium setting. The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment. This job will be expected to work indoor and outdoor in moderate weather conditions.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a largely sedentary role. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision. This role must have attention to detail using vision.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including; extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Travel:

Travel is not expected in this role.
