Laser Technician Job Description

Reports To: Spa Manager and Medical Director

Job Description and Summary: Spa Laser Technicians are responsible for providing laser services. Our laser services include hair reduction, spider vein treatment, laser facials, benign pigmented lesions treatment, and laser fat sculpting/reduction. Our laser technicians must have prior laser experience or certification and be able to assist clients in advising what type of service is appropriate for their needs. Duties of our laser technicians include:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide laser consultations
• Gather and review client information and pertinent clinical information at each visit
• Obtain thorough health history and complete all consent and release forms
• Discuss client’s needs, expectations, and past experiences
• Evaluate client’s skin/body and offer recommendations for treatments
• Perform treatments according to established standards and within scope of licensure in a safe, comfortable, and hygienic environment
• Demonstrate awareness of all pre and post care for all laser treatments.
• Recommend skin care products to clients and educate them on proper skin care before and after laser treatments

Additional Responsibilities:

• Answer phones and return voicemails
• Schedule appointments
• Check in/out clients and schedule follow up appointments
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area
• Maintain any and all equipment used during services
• Manage inventory of consumables and inventory needed to perform laser services
• Care for linens and replace between sessions.
• Recognize and perform duties which need to be performed although not directly assigned

Job Requirements:

• Prior laser experience or certifications
• Proficient in performing all applicable treatments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding people skills
• Ability to manage time wisely
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality
• Experience with Cynosure SculpSure and Elite IQ preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $60.00 per hour
