ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and operate company vehicles according to Fleet Safety policies
• Adhere to driver security procedures
• Sort, organize and account for all parcels.
• Load vehicle with various customer freight and parcels, begin route on time, and complete scheduled pick-ups and deliveries at various locations
• Adhere to established delivery and pickup times
• Comply with company mandated “real time” delivery tracking through the use of hand held device
• Maintain accurate manifests (electronic or manual).
• Collect customer C.O.D.’s.
• Perform in a professional and courteous manner at all times

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required to hold a valid driver’s license for the state designated by the Company.
• Clean driving record
• Pass pre-employment drug screen & background check

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to interpret routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.
