Job description
Skills Required:
- Vehicle Crash Safety Attribute Engineer will be responsible for development of body structure, chassis, fuel or electrical, and/or occupant restraint systems using CAE simulation or physical test.
- Strong knowledge of LS-DYNA CAE tools required along with 10+ years vehicle related program experience.
Skills Preferred:
- The engineer will use analysis tools to guide component and system design thru optimization to meet FMVSS, IIHS, ECE, GB, and other regulatory requirements and public domain targets.
- The engineer will be responsible for development of new analytical and physical verification procedures in an effort to reduce physical testing and improve CAE model and/or test accuracy.
- The engineer should have a mature understanding of the principles related to vehicle component and occupant kinematics in front/side/rear vehicle crash test modes.
Experience Required:
Minimum 10 years of Vehicle Crash Safety experience (CAE and automotive experience)
Education Required:
Minimum B.S. Biomedical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Engineering Mechanics or related major
Education Preferred:
M.S. in Engineering or related major preferred
