Job Description:

PM Consulting Group LLC (PMCG) is seeking an experienced Credentialing Specialist to support the Army Medical Department Professional Management Command (APMC) contract. The candidate will verify credential documents such as state license, DEA and Board Certification, request and obtain proof of provider clinical competency, credential and recredential healthcare providers, review electronic applications, monitor quality data and all applicable functions within the directive of quality control in the organization. Adhere to minimium production standards. Reports to the management staff at the organization and relies on instruction and pre-defined guidelines to perform various functions of the job, typically entering all information regarding providers into a database system of record. Recommends best practice or commonly used processes for quality improvement in credentialing.


Responsibilities:

  • Applies basic knowledge of office management, methods and procedures in producing and maintaining documentation, correspondence, records and directives.
  • Verifies medical professional’s credentials, processing the information and maintaining information data files.
  • Prepares and maintains reports based on accreditation, education, facility privileges, experience, membership and licensure, ensuring all provider information meets federal, state and local guidelines.
  • Maintain regular written and verbal correspondence with agencies, hospitals, malpractice carriers and medical review boards.

Education / Required Experience:

  • High School Diploma or higher
  • 4 to 6 years Credentialing experience required

Requirement Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and the awareness of current American Accreditation Healthcare Commission standards
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience
  • Ability to multitask
