Interior Exterior Building Supply seeking Credit Manager in the Corporate Office

Building material supplier headquartered in New Orleans with 26 stores located throughout the gulf coast region seeking credit manager to direct, oversee and participate in the functions and activities of a busy credit/collections department.

Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or construction management and minimum 7-years prior Credit Management experience.

Working knowledge of b2b credit/collection practices; understanding of the construction industry and collection laws pertaining to the supply of materials to various types of construction projects; ability to lead and direct staff in day to day operations; ability to resolve problem accounts and determine the most effective method, appropriate to the project supplied, necessary to minimize loss; ability to negotiate successful means to extending credit while protecting profits; ability to develop and implement change in continually growing business environment.

Knowledge of clearing Credit Applications

Understanding of lien laws per State for Issuing Lean Waivers

Ability to obtain and interpret credit references from other suppliers

Ability to analyze credit applications and determine credit limits as well as manage limits as customer credibility warrants
