Pauley Construction, LLC is currently looking for a Construction Crew Leader to operate out of our Colorao Springs, CO location. Experience working in Construction and Conduit / Manhole is preferred but not required. Overview:


This position works alongside a small crew of 2-3 laborers and assist with general laborer related duties including trenching, pulling conduit, locating utilities and restoration operations. This position helps coordinate work alongside the foreman and/or supervisor to ensure production is being met. An employee in this position should have a basic knowledge and understanding of utility systems, prints, job skills

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Shoveling, trenching, finishing and/or other various heavy laborer related tasks as outlined by crew foreman or supervisor.
  • Assisting crew with spotting utilities for drill operator as needed.
  • Using construction equipment on site as needed to perform various job related tasks.
  • May also assist in equipment transportation
  • Keeping work areas clean before; during and after job completion.
  • Maintaining truck and equipment cleanliness; inside and out
  • Other laborer duties as assigned by foreman and/or supervisor.

Qualifications:


Education/Experience Requirements:

  • 6-12 months of work-related experience pertaining to utility construction, telecommunications or laborer related work
  • Any combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates ability to perform the designated job duties and responsibilities of the position.


Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to make common sense understanding to carry out instructions that are provided in written, oral or drawing. Ability to deal with and understand problems involving different variables in many varied situations involving employees, customers and vendors.


Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts (measurements in terms of distance, proportions, percentages and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.


Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, understand and interpret documents such as safety rules and requirements, machine manuals of operation and process procedures. Ability to write information including reports. Ability to speak effectively to customers, coworkers and vendors.


Other Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be at least 18 year old to operate company equipment and to drive company vehicles
  • Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening.
  • Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed.
  • May be required to work over-time; after hours; on weekends or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed.
  • May include working nights and holidays as needed.
  • May be required to travel in state or overnight as necessary to meet business needs.
  • Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.

  • Employees performing these job functions are required to lift or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Pay Range:
The hourly pay range for the Construction Crew Leader position is $22.00 - $28.00 / per hour, depending on experience.
