Curb Machine Operator

For over 60 years Lorne G. Seifert, LLC has been providing concrete construction services to general contractors and owners in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Our in-house capabilities have grown over the years with the ability to handle all aspects of a project from foundations, flatwork, exterior concrete to excavation and grading.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking experienced and driven Curb Machine Operators for our growing concrete business based in Dillsburg, PA. Work is primarily in Central PA and surrounding areas.

Successful candidates should have a strong work ethic and ability to learn.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ability to safely operate and maintain the curb machine
• Performs pre-operations safety inspections
• Ensures company equipment is maintained and in good running condition
• Reads and understands blueprints and cut sheets
• Sets and checks grades
  
• String line setup
• Ability to take direction from site foreman to complete daily tasks and meet project goals for job site
  
• Works closely with other crew members; in a fast-paced environment
• Performs other labor duties as assigned by foreman or project manager
• Must be reliable and the ability to work overtime as required
• Follows all company rules, regulations, policies and guidelines

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation
• Ability to lift construction materials exceeding 50lbs
• Operating experience; concrete experience is a plus
• Must be able to set and check grades
• Must be able to read blueprints and cut sheets
• Must have knowledge of vibrator placement, sensor placement and mold placement
• Must have knowledge of string line set up
  
• Must be reliable with the ability to work overtime as needed
  
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player
• Must have a strong work ethic
  
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening
