Veterinary Wellness Center provides high quality, comprehensive medical care for dogs and cats, with a strong emphasis on client education. Our ideal CSR would be a confident team player, have strong multitasking skills, and be able to learn quickly while maintaining a positive attitude.

The fundamental responsibility of the Customer Service Representative is to use all available resources to communicate with the clients, staff and doctors to provide the best possible client experience while teaching clients how to better care for their furry family members.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Answering phones, texts and online communication cordially and professionally
• Exhibiting client hospitality including greeting clients and patients by name, offering refreshments, explaining delays
• Monitoring patients as they arrive for signs of critical emergency, contagious disease, or aggression.
• Assisting with carrying pets or products
• Maintaining the physical premises by cleaning and disinfecting frequently used patient areas (lobby, scale, kennels, etc.)
• Using practice management software with ease
• Engaging in productive work during slow periods
• Actively participating in staff meetings, trainings and evaluations
• Following clinic protocols to minimize risk of patient escape
• Restocking hospital and office supplies and medications
• Educating clients on the clinics preventative care recommendations, available services and the proper handling/use of medications.
• Protecting confidential client, patient and business information
• Creating and explaining documents to clients. (Estimates, client education handouts, rapport cards, etc.)
• Cross training on treatment tasks including history taking, patient restraint, monitoring hospitalized patients and filling medications
• Managing appointment schedule
• Handling customer complaints
• Enrolling new clients
• Promoting sales
• Processing payments accurately
• Taking detailed and accurate notes/medical history to update and maintain patient records
• Contacting clients to confirm appointments, reminding them of upcoming services and medications due, etc.
• Using practice management software with ease

And most importantly...

• Advocating for the health and safety of our patients

Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be punctual and have accurate time-keeping skills
• Must be professional and respectful when interacting with clients, supervisors and coworkers.
• Ability to communicate well in English and Spanish, and use problem-solving skills to assist clients.
• Must have strong technology skills
• Must be willing to learn how to use practice management software
