The Customer Support Specialist provides research and administrative support to customers by providing the following duties:


Minimum Requirements:


  • Must have excellent computer skills with a degree of proficiency in WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and OUTLOOK email system.
  • Proven strong analytical skills
  • Must have the ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization and must be a team player.
  • Must be proactive, efficient, customer focused and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to communicate well both orally and in written form.
  • Effectively writes routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to write business correspondence and reports.

Main Responsibilities:


  • Provide support to the FBO managers to ensure all clients, customers and visitors have a positive experience.
  • Work with FBO team to successfully complete customer satisfaction related projects
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Responsible to create/update centrally based shared files for FBO Tenants, Customer Contacts, Listing of Services and Fees and Customer Pricing.
  • Participate in weekly FBO conference calls, staff meetings and as requested.
  • Research flight department activity trends and provide detailed reports along with any other data related to the operation of flights and as requested by management analyze flight activity, research FAA, tail numbers, phone numbers, types of aircrafts, etc.
  • Enter new sales contacts and other customer information in FBO One.
  • Research, update and monitor changes in fuel pricing, hangar space, etc. and note changes to fee structure.
  • Analyze flight activity into specific airports by volume for Jet Aviation by location.
  • Work closely with FBO finance/customer service teams to ensure price agreements are set up properly in FBO One.
  • Responsible to update and maintain customer price agreements in FBO Linx and confirm price matches FBO One pricing.
  • Other duties may be assigned, as needed
  • Represents Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network

Desired Characteristics:


  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred and/or formal training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to learn other computer programs (such as FBO One, SAP, BW, etc.) as needed.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft types preferred.
  • Exhibit organizational capabilities with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong personal values corresponding with Jet Aviation values (Trust, Honesty, Alignment, Transparency)
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and take initiative in problem solving.
  • Must be able to travel in support of FBO network or events.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret Passur reports, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
