POSITION PURPOSE:
As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain data pipelines for optimal extraction, loading and transformation of data from multiple sources. You will be responsible for ensuring orchestrations run without error and data is available for reporting and analysis by data consumers. You will collaborate with project teams to understand integration requirements and build solutions that meet these requirements. You will work closing with architects, developers, and data analysts to design solutions that will deliver the required data needed to build analytic reports and dashboards. As a Data Engineer, you will also ensure legacy integrations are fully functional delivering needed data to applications and other end points throughout the enterprise.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, an Information Technology field, or other related field
Demonstrated working knowledge of the enterprise data architecture
Implementation of new data migration and integration solutions for the ERP project
Demonstrated ability to support legacy integrations RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain integrations between legacy applications
Support the ERP implementation working with the project team to:
Build new integrations to support the ERP implementation
Build extraction programs to support data migration efforts
Work with Data Team to define and build the architecture and infrastructure required for
Optimal extraction, loading, and transformation of data from a wide variety of data sources
Cleansing & storing data from internal and external sources
Automated anomaly detection
Management of access/entitlements
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements
Work with project teams to document data requirements and design and build solutions to extract and load needed data to appropriate environments
Leverage existing framework, tools, and architecture to continue enhancements of an enterprise data warehouse
Work with developers to troubleshoot and tune long running queries and inefficient data retrieval
Actively support corporate efforts, policies, and protocols for Security, Information Protection, and Threat Protection
