Job description
Under supervision of Support Services Manager, performs a variety of duties, including meeting with patients and families or responsible person for financial assessment, i.e., performing Standard Means Testing to determine Department of Mental Health funding eligibility, insurance pre-certification for visit(s) or eligibility of private insurance, connecting with DFS for making Medicaid application or determining method of payment; collection of co-pays, monthly ability to pays and payments on accounts; keying patient demographics into Meditech and State system; keying daily charges and monies and responsible for balancing at end of day; meeting with patents or responsible parties to resolve any issues with billing statement, method of payment or general dissatisfaction.
