Job description
Our day porters will be responsible for cleaning the kitchen, dining and guest areas of our restaurant. Duties include emptying garbage, cleaning floors and tables, polishing the dining room and re-stocking supplies. The Day Porter will also be responsible for reporting any damages or irregularities in the condition of the restaurant to management so these issues can be resolved immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and answer questions.
- Ensure that tables have clean linen and silverware, as well as water and bread service.
- Set up for a meal service.
- Clean the dining room.
- Keep dining room and kitchen areas clean and in good condition.
- Answer telephone calls, collect payment, and place credit card slips in the cash register.
- Arrange flowers, candles, and place settings for special occasions.
- Prepare guest checks for billing purposes.
- Ensure that all areas are cleaned by closing time.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
