Value Added Distributors is looking for a driven, hardworking, and enthusiastic Delivery Driver-Shipping & Receiving Inventory Associate to join their team in Rockford, IL! This position would mainly be responsible for managing customer inventory through delivering, stocking, counting, and re-ordering products. This would involve driving a company box truck (non-CDL) 5 days a week to our customer locations in the Milwaukee, WI; Oregon, IL; Dixon, IL; and Rockford, IL areas. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm. The starting pay is around $16.50 per hour.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities for the Delivery Driver-Shipping & Receiving Inventory Associate:

• Develop customer relationships.
• Pursue new sales opportunities.
• Maintain customer inventory levels.
• Establish & maintain customer binders for each VMI customer.
• Participate in weekly conference call with other VMI associates and VMI Manager.
• Meet with branch manager weekly (5-10) minutes to address any changes in stock levels at the customer location.
• Establish a back up training schedule with the branch manager to ensure proper coverage in your absence.
• Run usage reports quarterly and review with outside sales personnel.
• Review biannual VMI reports with customers.
• Pull and deliver product to the proper inventory location, department or personnel.
• Order entry
• Shipping & Receiving operations
• Onsite inventory management
• Warehouse operations
• Help manage onsite customer projects
• Onsite inventory and location audits

Necessary Skills for the Delivery Driver-Shipping & Receiving Inventory Associate:

• Good decision-making ability, be highly organized with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi task and prioritize work.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Knowledge and experience within Microsoft Office.
• Highly effective team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.

Required Skills for the Delivery Driver - Shipping & Receiving Inventory Associate:

• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• The ability to successfully obtain a DOT medical card and a Class C Non-CDL driver’s license.
• Requires ability to safely lift up to on average 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Comfortable and willing to drive in all types of weather.
• Previous knowledge of hydraulic components is a plus.
• Willing to adjust work schedule and available to work overtime when needed.
