BASIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Customer Relations – Act as primary SEWS contact for assigned customer purchasing departments; Honda, TS Tech, Subaru, Tier I suppliers and other customer suppliers
  • Order Management – Manage all customer orders to ensure accurate order receipt and entry, on time delivery of daily shipments, timely execution for delivery of expedited shipping requests and supplemental orders
  • Inventory Control – Monitor SEWS inventory levels to ensure availability to meet customer demand; communicate with customers, SEWS plants, corporate staff and other suppliers to ensure timely arrival of finished goods; request expedited shipments of finished goods as needed
  • Product Delivery – Monitors shipping schedules to ensure complete and timely delivery of customer orders, coordinate special deliveries, communicate order status to customers; coordinate / communicate shipment requirements with SEWS Warehouse and 3rd party material handling company
  • Model Build Out – Track and communicate model build out timing; Create and communicate weekly inventory demand reports; monitor inventory levels to ensure current part demand is met by SEWS; assist with minimizing obsolete inventory remaining after build out
  • New Model start-up – Track and communicate NEW model start-up timing; create / communicate trial event planning; participate in new model project management meetings; monitor arrival of new part inventory to ensure successful transition to new parts delivery
  • Customer supplied components (DSPS / JSPS) – Support SEWS production control and raw material purchasing regarding customer supplied components; communicate and negotiate deliveries to SEWS
  • Design Change Control – Monitor design changes and new part number demand timing from customer forecast; track timing of demand changes from old to new parts; negotiate timing to eliminate or reduce obsolete inventory
  • Other duties as assigned as necessary

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and relevant experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in an inventory control, purchasing, or customer service environment
  • Skilled in use of desktop and mainframe applications
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of SEWS and customer personnel
  • Skilled in the areas of problem solving, task management, organization, oral and written communication
  • Bilingual in Spanish is helpful but not required
