Delivery Truck Driver
- Driving delivery truck for pickup and delivery of linens to Local Hospitals and surrounding customers. Comply with all Federal, State and Local laws. Have the ability to fluently read, write, and speak in English. Adhere to guidelines, policies and procedures as described in the employee handbook. Pass a background and motor vehicle screening. Adhere to Hospital Laundry Services Drug and Alcohol policy and agrees to submit to drug testing as a condition of employment. Communicate ideas and thoughts verbally and written form. Provide excellent customer service skills to customer office personnel. Work well independently and in a team atmosphere. Drive safely & efficiently to/from locations adhering to all traffic safety laws. Collect critical customer information in order to improve customer product and supplier relationships. Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.

This position will:

  • To alert General Manager and/or Production Manager of any safety hazards on the truck or in immediate area of work.
  • Deliver to pick up both clean / soiled linen for Hospital Laundry Services accounts.
  • Load clean linen carts on assigned truck and or van and record time and carts on driver's log and delivery time sheet.
  • Unload and transport linen carts to specific areas within the designated facility. Record and document deliveries i.e. load sheets with weight, times and number of carts are on Drivers Report.
  • Daily reports completed in full detailing each delivery run specifics and turned in at the end of each work day.
  • As time permits, help in immediate production area.

General Equipment inspections are expected to be completed by each driver.
1. Truck washing
2. Loading docks kept clean
3. Complete documentation in detail and communicate issues with truck to leadership
4. Pre-trip inspections to be completed
5. Execute delivery routes in a timely but safe manner
6. Follow ALL traffic laws (seat belts MUST be worn at all times when operating a company vehicle)
  • All other duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education/Experience:

  • You will be provided with all of the training and equipment you need to complete deliveries in a safe and punctual manner.
  • Possession of valid Montana driver's license that is insurable.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current, valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.

Compensation:
$16/hour

Additional Notes:
Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening
TB test and Hep B series shots required
