The Deltek/Vantagepoint Consultant position gives you the opportunity to:
The Senior Consultant is responsible for engaging with our client for services including Vision/Vantagepoint Finance system implementations, consultative training, troubleshooting and assistance with best practices for optimization of the system. The Senior Consultant should be able to present multiple solutions that best fit the clients’ needs. Additionally, the Senior Consultant is responsible for managing their clients/projects, monitoring budgets, billing, collections and pursuing new services opportunities.
Client Service
- Embrace the SN Way of becoming our client’s most trusted advisor, creating client delight, and meeting service standards
- Conduct and manage Vision/Vantagepoint Finance system implementations
- Coordinate data migration efforts with custom team
- Perform consultative training (understanding the clients’ needs, sharing best practices and presenting multiple solutions)
- Assist with developing/maintaining consulting collateral
- Maintain accurate records in Vision - client/project efforts/activities
- Coordinate and scope custom services efforts as they relate to your projects
- Participate in consulting team meetings and collaboration efforts
- Proactively identify and address potential client issues and collaborate with appropriate internal resources
- Pursue opportunities outside of existing workload to ensure utilizations are met
- Utilize consulting team members’ skills
- Support/Participate in User Group Meetings
- Provide sales support as requested
- Review and edit your projects’ monthly billing
- Manage AR Collections (over 45 days)
Business Development
- Develop understanding of the firm’s service offerings and recognize opportunities to provide additional services, including cross-selling, to existing client base
- Support/participate in business development efforts to generate additional services revenue
Leadership
- Seek out support and guidance from teammates, be approachable to any questions/inquiries, and ultimately help the team be successful
- Responsible for overall client satisfaction, monitoring of all engagements to insure timely delivery within documented scope and budget, and insuring all aspects of project quality as delivered to clients in order to achieve the clients’ stated goals.
- Provide expertise in areas such as project management; knowledge of software functionality; business process definition & improvement; industry best practices, application configuration, and training
- Assist with training/mentoring new consultants

- Maintain detailed time recording with a goal of attaining a minimum of 70% billability
- Model and embrace daily timekeeping, maintain a current calendar of assignments, and make daily decisions about priorities, seeking out guidance as appropriate
- Embrace the Strengths Finder initiative and consider strengths in developing relationships
- Learn new technology the firm introduces into the work environment and provide technical guidance as needed
- Adhere to the firm’s technology best practices and security protocols
- Participate in weekly and 30-day check-ins with their supervisor, utilizing Deltek Talent platform
- Ad hoc duties and projects as assigned

What it takes to be a Deltek/Vantagepoint Consultant:
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with implementing Vision/Vantagepoint systems
- Minimum of 5 years accounting experience, covering all aspects of accounting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Self-motivated and positive attitude
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Desire for knowledge to keep skill set relevant
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization
- Ability to work from home within an environment that complies with our telecommuting policy
- Available to travel as needed for company, business development and marketing events
