SUMMARY
Incumbents assist with functions of the City Clerk's Office including City elections, City Council agendas, preserving historical records, posts meeting and agenda notices in compliance with open meeting laws, and Boards and Commissions programs. Incumbents are responsible for supervising staff, preparing monthly and annual reports, preparing work schedules and assigning work, and assisting with departmental goal setting.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Public or Business Administration or related field is preferred, and three (3) years of progressively-responsible position related duties, including records management, municipal elections, campaign finance or closely related. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience. One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Incumbent must be able to meet the certification, license, and registration requirements listed below:

Within three months of date of hire:
Arizona Notary Public
Passport Certification

Within one year of date of hire:
Arizona Secretary of State Elections Certification

Within three years of date of hire:
Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation
Arizona Municipal Clerks Association Elections Training

SELECTION PROCESS
