General Description
The Deputy Director of Partnerships will lead our employer engagement strategy and implementation that supports hundreds of employers in providing high quality internships for thousands of NYC high school students each year. They will connect with top corporations in need of entry-level talent, manage an existing portfolio of employer partners, as well as build a book of business from target sectors such as tech, healthcare, and business. The Deputy Director of Partnerships will lead our business services team and aim to create lasting business relationships to support all programming needs. We are looking for someone who is a strategic leader with a proven record of success managing people, developing lasting relationships, a strong work ethic, and a passion for engaging with NYC youth.
Responsibilities
  • Develop a scalable corporate partner pipeline and execute a sales strategy that will secure internship demands
  • Build a diversified and balanced portfolio to satisfy placement targets and align with market demands
  • Manage all aspects of corporate partner communications strategies and consistent follow up and high-quality customer service
  • Collaborate with the entire team to ensure alignment with student skills and market demands and utilize assessments and surveys that allow for continuous improvement
  • Display a “can do” attitude while working toward program goals
  • Lead the business services team and processes that establish high service operating practices to ensure the development of quality work-based learning activities
  • Prepare and deliver effective presentations to connect with and educate potential partners
  • Maintain partner and intern data on Salesforce ensuring complete data collection and integrity
  • Troubleshoot and escalate issues and opportunities in internship performance as appropriate
  • Implement and manage intern support resources by working closely with the Program team
  • Coordinate with accounts to host corporate appreciation events
  • Provide frequent updates during internship programming on student’ progress and needs
  • Meet performance expectations and maintain weekly/monthly reports of results
  • Develop strategic business development plans and execute those plans
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary leadership team to ensure the integration of all program’s components
  • Attend all relevant meetings, training, workshops, outside events and agency-wide activities
Work and Education Experience Requirements
  • 4+ years’ experience in account management in a services-based environment
  • 2-3 years’ experience working with C-Suite clients preferred
  • Experience successfully managing high performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads, build and manage partner pipelines
  • Documented strength in meaningful relationship building, management, and growth
  • Experience engaging and reporting to multiple stakeholders and working as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to achieve goals with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to lead group presentations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Sales force, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint knowledge.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and work within a results-oriented environment.
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility, initiative, commitment, and a sense of humor are a must!
