Marposs Corporation, a leading global producer of electronic measuring equipment, has an opening for a Mechanical Designer. This individual will develop and design mechanical and electromechanical gauging products, fixtures, benches, and semi-automatic and automatic gauging systems from initial concept to final design using CAD.
Marposs designs and manufactures a wide range of products and solutions from; precision measurement of mechanical components of before, during and after the manufacturing process, process controls and machine tool conditions, leak tests for all industrial sectors, and automatic assembly and control lines. Marposs is a primary supplier of the major automotive manufacturers for both ICE and EV applications, as well as the aerospace, biomedical, energy, consumer electronics and glass containers sectors.
Responsibilities:

• Develops, maintains, and implements design drawings for a variety of products from initial concept to final product
• Examples of designs are; simple and functional pneumatic diagrams
• Oversee new product development and testing based on customer specifications
• Review customer drawings and propose design improvements
• Release final designs for manufacturing or purchasing
• Collaborate with internal and external team members to confirm project requirements and establish equipment specifications
• Select appropriate motion components such as pneumatic cylinders, electric motors, bearings, etc. for specific builds
• Work with internal team on any adjustments needed to products after build

Skills/Requirements:*

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field or an associate degree and at least 5 years working experience
• Experience working in the machine tooling industry
• Understanding of GD&T, Manufacturing Processes, Machining Processes, and ferrous and non-ferrous materials selection
• Proficient in AUTOCAD 2020 and INVENTOR 2020
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while maintaining timelines
• Excellent technical knowledge, paired with written and verbal communication skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude
