Muller Engineering Company is seeking qualified candidates for its Traffic Engineering/Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Group at the design engineer level. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly skilled individual who wishes to be part of our expanding team. We are seeking candidates who want to work in a creative and collaborative environment to help deliver Muller’s numerous transportation projects throughout Colorado
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design traffic control and technology components for transportation facilities, including interstates, interchanges, urban arterials, rural roadways, and multimodal facilities
- Assist mid-level and senior engineers in preparation of studies, reports, and design packages for a wide variety of traffic engineering and ITS projects.
- Assist with traffic operations and safety projects including traffic signal timing, microsimulation modeling, multimodal planning, and safety studies
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish
- Perform field observation work when necessary
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or master’s degree in traffic/transportation engineering) from an accredited college or university
- Entry level to three years of experience in transportation engineering design
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
- A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment and creating designs that support our client’s overall project goals
- Knowledge of and experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering is a plus
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products is a plus
- Other duties as assigned
Licenses/Registrations:
- Engineer Intern (EI) in Colorado or other state
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
