GridIron IT is seeking a Desktop Engineer III local to the Ft. Meade, MD area.

Security Clearance: Secret Clearance

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
• Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area end user related functions.
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide Tier 1 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problem.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Effectively communicate and directly engage with customers and colleagues.
• Hands-on diagnose network related issues.
• Work independently to resolve technical issues in a dynamic environment.
• Focus on superior customer satisfaction.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience; additional years of directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated technical experience and understanding of virtual and physical support systems
• Able to demonstrate an analytical and systematic approach to technical challenges
• Active Directory Systems Administrator experience
• Familiarity with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
• Virtual Storage experience
• Experience working within ITIL framework
• Must have CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

• ITIL: 4 years (Required)
