Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network has an immediate need for a Development Database Administrator to join our Development team in Allentown, PA. This is a hybrid office/remote position.

JOB SUMMARY

Serves the organization by providing accurate database information pertaining to development records, constituent activity and reconciliation of records with other internal departments. Provides timely data analysis of donor gifts while providing insightful benchmarks across the industry. Assures consistency and accuracy in all aspects of the development database of donors. Manages the Data Entry Clerk/Gift Processor while providing oversight to gift processing and record keeping.

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:00am – 5:00pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • RECOMMENDS & IMPLEMENTS APPROVED POLICY By documenting procedures for gift processing and all development database management. By directing input of information into fundraising database to assure consistent standards of quality of information and accuracy of reporting.
  • MAINTAINS INTEGRITY OF SOFTWARE WITH VENDOR(S) By serving as the contact person for all software upgrades, additions, and maintenance to maintain Development Office’s Donor Database. By implementing processes in conjunction with the I.T. Dept. to protect and manage the Donor Database.
  • OVERSEE DATABASE OPERATIONS By monitoring gift processing to ensure effective and quality results. By coaching, training, and mentoring colleagues to educate and improve the value of the database metrics to department and primary customers. By overseeing the procedures related to incoming mail processing to ensure appropriate gift records and related record compliance.
  • PROVIDES ACCURATE CONSTITUTENT DATA FOR ALL DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES By providing timely, accurate lists of relevant constituents for development department activity. By updating donor database in accordance with USPS Move Update (NCOA) requirements. By importing data of bulk constituent activity. By reviewing health of database to ensure success of direct mail, annual campaign, major gifts, and gift receipt programs.
  • BENCHMARKS FOR ALL DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES By providing timely, accurate reporting reflecting monthly giving results, historical results, trends and special reports requested by leadership on donor activity. By establishing baseline statistics and annual reporting procedure for reporting the success of direct mail, annual campaign, capital campaign, major gifts and gift receipt programs.
  • RECONCILIES OF DATA WITH OTHER GOOD SHEPHERD DEPARTMENTS By conducting regular reconciliation of development records with the finance department and other departments regarding annual goal tracking and gift receipts. By providing monthly and year end reports to finance and facilitating regular communication to ensure accuracy of data.

  • Education
  • Holds an Associates Degree in business, accounting, data processing or related field, Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Work Experience
  • 1-3 yrs. of direct database mgmt. or related experience required.
  • Administrative Supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience utilizing Raiser's Edge/NXT Software preferred.

  • Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Raiser's Edge/NXT Software: 1 year (Preferred)
