What We Need:
Brady Corporation is seeking an experienced devops engineer to work in our cloud and e-commerce platform environments. This position is primarily responsible for operations of our digital and e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong IT operations background with recent experience managing web applications hosted on Amazon AWS (preferred) and Microsoft Azure. In addition, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience establishing strong relationships and partnering with engineering teams to implement devops, security, and monitoring practices on these platforms.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Monitor, manage and maintain production systems on Amazon AWS (preferred) and Microsoft Azure Define and manage health metrics for production systems and meet agreed upon performance targets Work with engineering teams to provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain systems and related infrastructure Implement and manage tools, services, and frameworks to ensure highly available production environments Implement processes to detect, communicate, and resolve issues proactively
• Ensure completion of continuous operational activities such as backup, recovery, etc.
• Implement procedures to ensure systems, applications, and security meet performance targets Research and promote best practices to drive continuous improvements across operations Work with engineering teams to implement tools, practices, and automation that increase productivity

What You Need to Be Successful:

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree with demonstrated experience managing mission critical applications 3+ years of hands on experience managing, monitoring, and configuring web applications on Amazon AWS Demonstrated experience in design, deployment, and support of complex web applications Experience with agile and continuous improvement practices
• Strong understanding of current software development best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands on experience managing, monitoring, and configuring web applications on Microsoft Azure Demonstrated experience establishing working with engineering teams to implement devops practices Amazon AWS certification(s) (preferred), Microsoft Azure certification(s)
