The ideal candidate must be able to perform inspections and make needed repairs on Ready Mix trucks. In addition they may be called upon to operate and repair other equipment or engage in activities as the Company sees fit. The will have analytical and problem solving skills. Any experience with ready mix trucks, front end loaders and other equipment a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose electrical problems and perform mechanical repairs and maintenance to various types of equipment including but not limited to: tires, ready mix concrete trucks and other heavy equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance such as oil changes and failure analysis.
• Perform routine inspections/adjustments on mixer trucks following DOT requirements.
• Complete paper work on daily repairs/services detailing work performed.
• Coordinate with supervisor and review Pre-Trip truck inspections to prioritize work
• Communicate with drivers and plant managers to help ensure preventative vehicle maintenance policies and practices are being followed.
• Use a wide variety of hand and power tools, cutting torches and welding equipment
• Order and pick up parts from vendors when needed.
• May assist in the maintenance and repair of fixed equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year experience
• Experience with diesel engines and hydraulic systems
• Willingness to work varied shift hours and overtime as needed
• Valid Driver's License

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure
