Standards
1.1 Develops, implements and follows up on the nutritional care plan based on the patients nutritional assessment status.
1.2 Communicates appropriate diet history/nutritional status data through written and electronic record systems, and maintains an effective verbal communication and public relations within inter and intra departments of the hospital.
1.3 Participates in continuing education programs.
1.4 Participates in the development of policies and procedures for clinical use.
1.5 Attends patient care rounds on a regular basis.
1.6 Participates in the evaluation of dietetic services.
1.7 Complete work in a safe manner.
1.8 Adheres to policies in Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual.

Qualifications

REQUIRES:
  • 1-2 years of experience with a minimum of 1 year in area of related field
  • A minimum of two years experience in clinical dietetics preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in foods and nutrition, or equivalent nutrition program. Graduate of an accredited Dietetic Internship or Coordinated Undergraduate Dietetic Program.
  • Must be registered by the Commission on the Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association or is a candidate for registration and successfully passes the registration exam. Must maintain RD license.
  • Verbal and written ability required to communicate effectively. Must be able to appropriately explain dietetic information and restriction to the patients and/or patients family.
  • Complete annual safety training. Complete and maintain department specific training.
PREFERS:
  • 1-2 years of experience with a minimum of 1 year in area of related field

Pay Range
$37.18 - $53.91 /hour
