THE OPPORTUNITY:
Varsity Spirit is looking for a Digital Analyst to serve as a key business partner leading data strategy, implementation, and growth toward digital transformation and customer-first experiences. The Digital Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams across the business to determine impact of current and future digital products, deliver actionable insights, and identify customer segments to reduce friction and grow customer lifetime value. Your analysis and insights will drive improvements for Varsity Spirit experiences across customer-facing digital touchpoints.
The position can be based in either Dallas, TX or Memphis, TN, and will be a hybrid home/office role.
What you will do:
- Leverages first, second- and third-party data to extract insights - Delivers weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports
- Focuses on using digital tools and data to enable differentiated customer experiences and self-service capabilities - consolidating existing metrics, and developing develop new metrics
- Contributes to data strategy discovery, execution and ongoing evaluation with IT, Marketing & Operations across all business units
- Defines and develops digital KPIs, metrics, and reports to inform future business decisions
- Partners with PMO, IT and Marketing functions to ensure gaps and issues are identified, understood, and addressed across cross-functional teams
- Helps create and maintain best practices for data capture, tagging, and tracking
- Develops and implements data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
- Uses current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations
Who you are:
- A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent
- 4 - 6 years’ experience in statistical analysis or comparable field
- Expertise in data collection, segmentation, and application
- Experience with first-party data infrastructure technologies, including data warehouses, web analytics, CRM, etc.
- Experiences around complex data management solutions from requirements through design and implementation, including negotiating solutions with diverse stakeholder groups
- Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
- Experience with data visualization tools – can build dashboards/reports to support business needs
- Understands tech trends with the ability to help interpret and apply those trends to inform product roadmap and innovation opportunities
- Understanding of web analytics tool basics: tags, cookies, variables
- Proficient in writing queries and building dashboards in programs like PowerBI, Google Analytics and Tableau
- Ability to derive actionable insights from large and diverse data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively distil complex technical and analytic information for a large audience
- Self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, and detail oriented
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects at once
