Salary:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $47,320, but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

About the Job:
This position serves as a content developer for the BMV’s Learning and Development Team and reports directly to the Director of Learning and Development. This position will continually work towards developing new and improving existing content for interactive, experiential training programs via multiple modalities such as face-to-face and the virtual experience.

A Day in the Life:
- Create/deliver technical and soft skills eLearning training programs, including blended learning, instructor-led distance learning, live sessions and webinars. May serve as moderator/instructor as needed or assigned up to 25%.
- Designs curriculum and can deliver training for BMVC staff on various subjects including using agency-supported software and tools.
- Partners with L&D System Coordinators to design, develop, index, and maintain technical documentation. Monitors end-user feedback and systems development efforts to facilitate continuing improvement of documentation.
- Keep current and evaluate new trends, philosophies, and available materials regarding adult education.
- Analyze and apply trends/best practices in adult learning technologies.
- Design and implement exercises and activities that enhance the learning process and knowledge retention..
- Consult with key agency personnel on a variety of training matters interpreting and reviewing training needs.
- Serve as agency resource for technical questions related to specified training programs; may also serve as resource for outside vendor training coordination.
- Revise training materials as necessary after reviewing evaluations of individual courses.
- Establish and maintain productive and positive working relationships with team members and others—internal and external to the organization and with all levels of employees.
- Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need for Success:
- Thorough knowledge of best practices in development and implementation of adult learning programs.
- Associate’s degree in a computer-related discipline, education, or related field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Two years of experience in programming, training, or systems software and support.
- Experience must also include creating documentation and performing technical end-user training in a complex technical environment and using instructional design concepts for computer-based training.
- Knowledge of: Adult learning techniques; database retrieval tools; web development tools and languages; instructional design concepts for computer-based and eLearning training.
- Ability to: Develop and present computer-based training to a diverse audience; consult with departments to analyze business processes and support technology needs; coordinate multiple projects concurrently and work with a minimum amount of supervision.
- Self-starter and reliable. Often works independently.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams)
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to partner with organizational stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
- Proven public speaking skills with the ability to effectively engage adult learners
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects in varying stages of completion while adhering to timelines
- Ability to identify and test new processes with the capacity to identify problems prior to agency-wide implementation.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
