This position will be located in Burbank, CA.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Digital Media Technician will be responsible for supporting the distribution and servicing of digital assets to various distributor and OTT platforms. The position will be responsible for preparing digital assets and metadata to client specification while ensuring quality standards and meeting deadlines. The position will be required to utilize various internal / external systems to enable delivery of assets in either a packaged consolidated manner to the required end-point specification.
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Package digital elements and metadata per unique vendor specifications.
- Evaluate orders to ensure client requests and platform requirements are met.
- Create and validate title and technical metadata - Excel or XML for multiple vendors on a per order basis.
- Prepare digital packages and deliver using various methods; experience with different methods preferred (Transporter, Aspera, Signiant, etc.).
- Review assets and have an understanding of different types of video, audio and subtitle elements and how they relate to each other; additionally, communicate issues back to the client as they arise.
- Problem solve and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Contribute to documentation of workflows and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College education or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- iTunes metadata specifications and validation experience preferred.
- Ability to prepare e-mails and professionally communicate both written and verbally.
- Excellent written English skills needed.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Digital Media.
- Technically savvy and comfortable working on Windows and Mac environments.
- Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance.
- Ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities while staying a team-player.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
