ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provides resident supervision and/or assistance with activities throughout the day of daily living, (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinent care, transferring, feeding, communication, ambulation, and documents ADLs provided by employee

• Assists with activities, snacks, meals, etc.

• Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of residents in the delivery of services to them. Interacts with residents in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring, homelike environment.

• Observes residents for changes in condition or behavior and promptly reports these changes to appropriate licensed nursing personnel

• Provides basic First Aid and CPR when necessary and maintains current certification

• Must be able to perform duties in accordance with the guidelines mandated by Social Services as the licensing agent of this facility

• Be of acceptable physical and mental health to carry out assigned duties

• Employee must possess mature judgment skills and be able to respond to emergency situations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hold a current and valid license as a CNA from the Virginia Board of Nursing / Department of Health Professions or a valid certificate of completion of 120 hours coursework or present a nurse aide certificate, PCA certificate or GNA certificate from a reputable and recognizable affiliation within the guidelines of the Board of Nursing

• State Police background check that is free from barrier offenses

• The ability to pass a Drug Test

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
