We are seeking a Director of Business Operations with dual reporting to the SVP of Engineering and the VP of Strategy & Operations. This role will form a core part of the leadership team leading all aspects of Engineering teams and responsible for leading our efforts to streamline and mature our processes and systems as we scale our teams and platforms. The Director of Business Operations will act as a key resource for our engineering team and will be required to lead a variety of strategic and operational initiatives.
Departmental Operations

Manage the design and maintenance of the organization's technical processes and services, as well as lead critical departmental initiatives
In partnership with Strategy & Operations, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Finance and other functions, facilitate recruitment and onboarding of staff including translation of engineering needs to headcount plans, prioritization of hires with hiring managers and reporting on hiring progress
Design and implement technical onboarding pathways for new hires to effectively onboard, including implementation and management of systems to measure the success of technical onboarding processes
Coordinate activities related to third party vendors
Manage compliance and security audits to ensure business continuity
Analyze current operations, research standard processes, set objectives for business optimization, and participate in budget allocation
Lead business and technology analysts passionate about technology operations on a range of process improvement, systems integration, maintenance, and reporting projects
Partner with HR, Legal and Viacom International teams to build a single cohesive technology team across all our Paramount Global/Paramount Streaming employee sites
Reporting and Metrics

Define a reporting strategy to build operational access to all aspects of the technology functions
Coordinate and assist in the development of presentations and departmental status reports
Support the definition and reporting of OKRs and important metrics for Engineering and Engineering Operations departments
Run reporting of operational and engineering metrics for technology functions
Coordinate compliance reporting requirements and requests within the department
Qualifications and Experience

8+ years’ in business operations, consulting, strategy operations or technology operations roles
8+ years' in leading technology and software projects and teams
Shown success running large cross-organizational, technically meaningful projects with significant business value or financial impact
Strong presentation, communications, and writing skills
Preferred
Familiarity or strong interest in streaming landscape and/or software development

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $110,000.00 - 160,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
