ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As Director, Carbon Credits Sales, your role is to grow and maintain a portfolio of corporate customers with multi-year, high-volume, carbon credit purchase agreements.
Main duties include, but are not limited to:
Sales and new business acquisition
- Growing the portfolio of target customers
- Developing and closing large, multi-year, carbon credit sales deals
- Introduce new pathways to reach and secure new customer segments
Customer value delivery
- Close collaboration with key prospects to deliver a tailored value proposition to reduce their carbon footprint
- Ability to innovate and offer novel value propositions, sometimes complex projects, and deal structures
Marketing planning and strategy
- Support the development of a Grassroots Carbon marketing strategy, in coordination with the land steward success team at Grassroots Carbon, to communicate the benefits of soil carbon storage to prospective buyers to obtain new business and expand existing relationships.
Customer retention
- Maintain a growing portfolio of customers
- Maintain excellent relations with key accounts
Company
- Be an active and valuable member of the Grassroots Carbon team.
- In close collaboration with the COO maintain the multi-year supply-demand balance
ROLE PRIORITIES:
- Rapidly grow and secure carbon credit demand with major companies
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Multi-year track record in eco-service and carbon credits sales to large companies.
- Experience in enterprise sales and closing agreements with large companies
- Experience in applying to RFPs
- Advanced Degree in business. Technical acumen to discuss standards and carbon credit quality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to approach and engage new people
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Results orientated deal closer
- Passion for climate change solutions, including the carbon credit market
WORK LOCATION & TRAVEL:
Location in San Antonio preferred. Austin and Houston are acceptable.
As needed for team meetings at the headquarters in San Antonio or additional support at conferences, client visits
