Join our growing marketing team as Director of Growth & Product Marketing. In this role, you will be able to shape the future of Go-To-Market, from audience segmentation to messaging strategy, marketing planning, campaign development and budget allocation, as well as associated measurement and operations.
You will have a fundamental impact on our business by bringing to life full-funnel marketing campaigns to support the expansion of our company’s product portfolio and growth of our customer base.
To exercise your broad remit, you will partner with our Brand and Acquisition Marketing teams, as well as directly manage a team of product marketers, email marketers, site optimization and marketing operations experts. You will also be responsible for representing marketing in cross-functional business forums during regular performance review meetings and in front of senior management.
Go-To-Market and Product Marketing
Create go to market plans to generate growth from both existing products as well as support new product launches and develop differentiated positioning, messaging, and channel mix
Based on in-depth understanding of our product roadmap, and in partnership with our Customer Insights and Insurance Product organization, identify target audiences & size demand opportunities, and set customer acquisition and sales goals
Partner with our Data and Analytics team to develop self-service dashboards to track marketing performance
Represent marketing cross functionally, reporting out on performance of marketing campaigns across all stages of the funnel
Go-To-Market and Product Marketing

Customer Lifecycle Marketing and Operations
- Manage our CRM and Email program with the objective to develop a holistic lead generation, lifecycle marketing and sales driving engine via email and other direct marketing channels
- Set program strategy and goals, including growth of emailable base, emailable base engagement and retention, nurture and sales-driving opportunities
Marketing Website Strategy and Optimization
- Manage the operation of critical areas of our website, such as landing pages, homepage updates, blog, in partnership with Brand and Content Marketing teams
- Define, monitor and optimize marketing website efficiency KPIs, with focus on engagement and progression rate
- Spearhead AB testing opportunities to optimize performance of various website entry points
CRM and Site Operations
- Partner with our Digital Product team to implement required analytics, customer marketing data and technology infrastructure to support CRM/ Lifecycle marketing and Marketing Website management, inclusive of Email Marketing tools, CDP, CMS and AB Testing
- Develop requirements and improve self-service capabilities for email and website management, and enable marketing teams to create dynamic and personalized customer experiences
- In partnership with Customer Acquisition and Analytics teams, ensure customer journey continuity and optimization best practices are upheld, develop and maintain basic marketing channel taxonomy and tagging infrastructure
Your Qualifications
- Marketing generalist, product marketing and customer marketing experience of 10-15 years, inclusive of time with a brand that scaled quickly
- Demonstrated experience leading successful collaboration and delivering results in cross-functional settings, with stakeholders in Product/ Merchandising, Marketing, Analytics and Technology organizations
- Experience/ aptitude managing full scope of campaign development, from strategy to execution/ operations and analysis
- Demonstrated team management experience, leading teams with diverse remit and skill sets, from strategy and planning to execution/ operations and analysis
- Combination of marketing generalist, customer marketing and site/ landing page optimization experience, with track record of improving customer engagement, acquisition, and retention throughout the funnel
- Experience developing customer-centric strategies based on customer insights and data analysis, managing and deploying a meaningful budget across marketing channels and initiatives
- An entrepreneurial, scrappy spirit – you love to drive growth and move with urgency, and can balance a variety of diverse sets of priorities
- Highly organized, able to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced startup environment, both for yourself and your team

More and more, people are talking about going back to the workplace and the new normal. At Simply Business, we’re thinking of it as a Better Normal. That means offering our SBers more choice and greater flexibility to work in a way that’s best for their particular job, their teams, and their lives.
We’re shifting to a hybrid working model, so we’ll have employees working virtually and in the office at any given time.
We’re also aware there are times when working together in person is the best way to get things done. We expect our SBers to connect in their hubs (that’s what we call our offices) most likely once every few weeks. That said, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, so we expect all SBers and their teams will find the operating rhythm that works best for them.
