PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Director, Media and Program Operations position is responsible for successfully managing the Media Operations team and the Volume Businesses. The successful candidate will be a “hands on” team member with the ability to inspire and lead other members of the team.
Media Operations. This includes management of a 5-person team that is responsible for the day-to-day operations, scheduling, printing, and installation of Simon’s proprietary digital and static media assets. Currently generating $60M+ in annual revenue with expectations of growth. The activities are divided into three main groups: inventory management and media scheduling; national deal maker support; digital hardware maintenance and vendor management.
Volume Businesses. This includes the management of a 2 person team and day-to-day operations the beverage vending program, ATMs, Stroller and Shopping Cart rentals, and the Holiday photo program which have combined $23M annual revenue budget.
In addition, the Director will facilitate other SBV departmental needs including review of common area lease restrictions and potential impacts on the media network; analysis of capital project needs and preparation of presentation materials as needed. Routine and ad hoc reporting on the media network performance including occupancy, rate, etc. as needed.
Primary responsibilities include:
Media Operations Team
  • Manage the entire ad operations process and team of 5 direct reports
  • Ensure the on-time scheduling and or delivery of all paid and brand ads across our digital and static media network.
  • Manage, maintain, and trouble shoot the digital media network of 1200+ digital ad panels and 60+ large format LED boards to ensure they are in good working condition with maximum operational uptime
  • Manage our various vendor partners for digital hardware, static media printing, and onsite tech service visits; and seek out new partners as needed
  • Support various sales team needs including creation of sales materials & videos; Geopath audience measurement data; SME social media posts; large format media maps; SME media resource folders for every property; quality photos of all media assets; Salesforce maintenance and reporting; and other needs as they develop
Volume Businesses
  • Direct day to day oversight of the Beverage vending program, ATM and dropbox programs, Stroller and Shopping cart rentals, and Holiday Photo programs and a team of 2 direct reports
  • Manage each one of the unique businesses through operational excellence to achieve monthly budgets: includes daily oversight of key operational metrics (deliveries, uptime, pricing, staffing, in mall placements, etc)
  • Develop strategic plans for each business to ensure annual growth; introduce new innovate concepts; and continually seek new partners to grow the businesses.
  • Plan and facilitate RFPs for new partners; financial analysis of responses; and other portfolio wide initiatives as needed.
Other Areas of Support

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience managing a team of specialists in media operations, Digital network operations, and revenue program management
  • Excellence with Excel and PowerPoint and the skills to build complex business models and predictive analytics
  • Familiarity with Digital Signage hardware, hardware vendors, the digital signage industry.
  • Results-oriented, Proactive, ability to prioritize, project management skills
  • Excellence communication & coordination skills that includes managing across a wide organization, multiple departments, and geographies
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills and metrics oriented
  • Bachelor’s degree
