Job Title: Director, National Vehicle Retailers (NVR)
Location: US- Western Region
FLSA: Exempt
Job Overview:
The Director, NVR- West is responsible for the acquisition, relationships, and renewal of dealer groups within Safe-Guard’s National Vehicle Retailers (NVR) program. The selected individual will also be responsible for the performance of NVR groups within their portfolio and ensure both the client as well as Safe-Guard’s goals and objectives are met. The Director, NVR- West will use his/her industry knowledge and relationships to identify prospective NVR groups to target.
Job Responsibilities:
- Continuously farm and develop 12-month acquisition pipeline.
- Implement action plans for increased sales of Safe-Guard products and services.
- Advance relationships with key partners and work closely to develop win/win strategies to improve productivity.
- Leverage OEM, Agent, Non-Auto Safe-Guard relationships to enhance conversion pipeline.
- Design, create, and deliver meeting presentations with the collaboration of NVR team.
- Establish an impactful presence at industry events, conferences, and publications on behalf of Safe-Guard.
- Identify opportunities within assigned territory and gain meaningful meetings with key decision makers.
- Enhance programs and systems related to Safe-Guard product knowledge, menu selling mastery and objection handling expertise with industry constituents.
- Develop and utilize Manager and Company approved training and marketing materials.
- Assist Dealers’ efforts to comply with applicable laws and regulations via best practice reviews and ongoing training.
- Market and facilitate Dealer participation in comprehensive F&I certification and training classes hosted by Safe-Guard.
Job Requirements:
- 8+ years of automotive retail-related management (agent/dealer/financial services) with sales of F&I products
- 2+ years of F&I specific experience (may be included in 8+ years above)
- 2+ years of proven territory management and training activities (may be included in 8+ years above).
- Automotive General Manager or General Sales Manager experience preferred
- Comfortably communicate with all levels of dealer groups (C-suite, Executive, Variable and/or Fixed Ops).
- Firm understanding of dealership P&L.
- Proven history of success in building and delivering successful value propositions for medium/large dealer groups (10+ stores).
- Extensive menu selling knowledge/experience.
- Proficient in selling current F&I product suite portfolio.
- Experienced in account development with sustained results.
- Experienced in dealership operations and ability to
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, preferred
- Excellent communications and public speaking skills
- Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing to travel at least 50%+
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check
