Job description
The Director of Community Outreach is responsible for:
- Planning and managing public relations, marketing, community involvement and special events hosted by Civitan Services to include fundraising.
- Develop content and monitor social media and website.
- Seek out and complete grant applications.
- Participate in various community services organizations.
- Serve as a Civitan Services representative to the public, including making speaches and presentations on behalf of the agency.
The ideal candidate must have experience working with a non-profit organization and have extensive work experience in marketing, public relations, or sales.
Familiarity with Saline County would be helpful. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
Good verbal and written communication skills and sensitivity to cultural/ethical differences are required.
A drug test and background checks are required for all employees.
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, sales, public relations, or related area is required
