Position Summary
The Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at UNC Greensboro is primarily responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gifts from corporations and foundations for the University. As a development team member, the individual works closely with the Vice Chancellor of University Advancement and other development colleagues across the University. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Development. This position will also work closely with other campus partners including the Vice Chancellor of Research and Engagement and the Director of Career and Professional Development.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree; or Bachelor’s Degree with substantially equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising
  • Demonstrated ability in grant and proposal writing at appropriate levels for varied proposal development
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to initiate and build relationships with prospective corporate and foundation donors and maintain a high level of poise and professionalism
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer 7+ years of fundraising experience (preferably in public higher education)
  • Demonstrated record of success in generating significant commitments from corporations and foundations
  • Extensive network and knowledge of triad corporations
