We are seeking a Director of Corporate Compliance and Quality Assurance to join our mission-driven team in Millbrook, NY. As the Director of Corporate Compliance and Quality Assurance, you will oversee implementation of the compliance program, coordination of external audits and internal investigations, and provide guidance to management, medical/clinical personnel, and individual departments regarding policy, procedures, governmental laws, rules, and regulations.

What You'll Do as the Director of Corporate Compliance and Quality Assurance (Responsibilities):

  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures
  • Oversee and monitor implementation of the compliance program
  • Report to the governing body, Executive Director, and compliance Committee on the progress of implementation, and assist in establishing methods to improve the organization’s quality of service and reduce vulnerability to fraud, abuse, and waste
  • Develop, coordinate, and participate in a multifaceted educational and training programs to ensure all appropriate employees, contractors, and management comply with pertinent federal and state standards
  • Ensure excluded individuals and entities are not employed or retained by the agency
  • Provide guidance to management, medical/clinical personnel, and individual departments regarding policy, procedures, governmental laws and regulations
  • Maintain a reporting system (hotline) and respond to concerns, complaints, and questions related to compliance
  • Oversee and coordinate all external audits related to quality assurance and compliance programs, including plans of corrective action
  • Assure that internal audits are established by department heads to monitor the effectiveness of compliance and quality assurance standards
  • Coordinate internal investigations and implement corrective action; assign investigators and submit final reports
  • Chair Incident Review Committee and oversee its functions
  • Oversee the agency Emergency Preparedness Plan

What You’ll Bring to the Role (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 5-10 years of Corporate Compliance experience
  • 5-10 years’ experience in the field of developmental disabilities and residential settings
  • 5-10 years’ experience with regulatory issues, NY Medicaid program requirements, and health care compliance regulations
  • Experience conducting investigations
  • Knowledge of OPWDD and state and federal audit processes
  • Ability to quantify quality measures and drive the quality improvement process across all regulations
  • Excellent leadership, training, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills

Pay: $85,000 - $100,000 / year, based on experience
